TEQUILA CURIOUS?

One of the few big tequila brands we really believe in. Clean, crisp, and thoughtfully made. It’s not the wildest bottle on the list, but it’s additive-free, good juice that we’ll happily sip anytime.

Mijenta is a B Corp-certified tequila producer, and this is one of our favorite everyday sips. Made in the Jalisco Highlands by Maestra Tequilera Ana María Romero Mena, it’s bright, layered, and deeply agave-forward, with fruit, floral, and spice notes underneath.

An interesting and approachable entry point into sipping blanco tequila. They take tequila made at Cascahuín—a storied, highly regarded distillery—and rest it for roughly 30 days in used French wine barrels. That brief aging softens and rounds the tequila while still preserving the agave-forward character we look for in a great blanco.

Rey Campero is one of the benchmark names in traditional Oaxacan mezcal, made by the Sánchez Parada family, who have been producing mezcal for generations. Their Espadín is smoky without being all smoke. It's earthy, bright, a little funky, and still very approachable. It’s a really good entry point into the depth and character that great mezcal can have.
