Why good queso?
We think our queso is the best around, but it's so much more than a tasty dip and a margarita's best friend. It's queso you can feel good about (not just because it is melty deliciousness). It's made with local cheddar and colby cheese from Sunset Farm in Ronks, PA; there's no industrialized processed junk. To make our Good Queso even more gooder, we donate five percent of all it's sales to local causes.

The Welcoming Center
Keep an eye out for a fun collab we're planning with some folks we know that have been through The Welcoming Center's programs.

The welcoming center's mission is to welcome immigrants as neighbors and leaders. Together, creating pathways to economic growth that strengthen the fabric of our communities. ​
Founded in 2003, TWC works to open doors of economic opportunity for immigrants of all education and skill levels and build immigrants’ individual and collective agency to address barriers to integration and well-being.

C-CAP Scholarship
We're collaborating with local C•CAP students for a Taco special, proceeds of which will be added to the Good Queso Scholarship.

C•CAP believes the power of food and hospitality transforms young lives. That’s why they provide under-resourced high school students and adults with culinary arts education, job skills training, apprenticeships, scholarships, and career opportunities that position them for lifelong success.

Broad Street Love
Hi-Lo organizes an annual day of volunteering where we and our community support Broad Street Love by serving over 300-500 meals.
​
Broad Street Love provides stabilizing services to individuals experiencing deep poverty. They aim to break the cycle of hardship, hunger, and housing insecurity in Philadelphia.
Guests are welcomed to receive a daily meal, mail service, personal care and hygiene items, support programs, personalized guidance, and more.

THE START
Philabundance
The concept for Good Queso came from Abundantly Good Cheddar, our OG Cheese, made locally in collaboration with Philabundance. For every pound of cheese produced, $1 worth of cheese was donated to Philabundance. We obviously love Queso, and doing Good, so we joined them forever. Thus creating Good Queso, queso that tastes good and does good.
